Parent organisation

The EHK (Parent Association for Gifted Children) advises you about giftedness and support you in promoting  children.

It offers the opportunity to exchange experiences in the regional groups.

The aim of Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) is to foster better relationships between parents and their children's schools.

PTAs create a partnership which helps the school listen to and deal with parents' concerns; and for parents to learn more about the school and how to improve their children's education. PTAs do not necessarily represent the views of all parents but they can be an excellent forum for communication and a basis for partnership between parents and schools.

National Parents Council Primary employs a Chief Executive and staff based in Dublin. Volunteers from Parent Associations form NPC County Branches in Cavan, Clare, Cork East, Cork West, Dublin North, Dublin NW, Dublin South, Dublin SW, Kildare, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Sligo, Tipperary and Wexford. A Parent Association means an association of Parents of children in a recognised primary school to which Section 26 of the Education Act 1998 applies.

The aim of ASEP is to help to identify talents and provide assistance for  professionals and parents of  gifted children.

DGhK is a non for profit organization in Germany, establihed in 1978 with the aim to support gifted and talented students, their teachers and parents.
