It is a non-profit organization, active since 2005. Its activities have been focused on designing of research projects on gifted and talented in primary and secondary education, teachers’ training, parents’ sensitization, designing and implementation of specialized educational programs, creating specialized educational material, and offering psychological support of the gifted/talented individuals and their family members, within family, school system and social context.
The AISTAP started on June 1st, 2010 from the idea of a group of psychologists and researchers who had been dealing, for about a decade, with giftedness and talent and development of potential. Our activities include: evaluation, teacher training, parent support, support for double-exceptional (ADHD, learning disabilities, Asperger syndrome), activities dedicated to gifted students(summer camp, laboratories, extra-curricular programs, exchange of students and more). Our goal is to help gifted students to develop their potential considering both emotional and cognitive characteristics.
Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) is the organiser of WebValley. It is a summer school for dissemination of interdisciplinary research: almost 250 students (17-18y old) have attended the WebValley camps since its first edition in 2001. WebValley started as a regional initiative for high school students from Trentino Alto-Adige SüdTirol, and it is now an opportunity for national and international students to experiment scientific research.
IGGY is a social network designed to help gifted young people between the ages of 13-18 realise their full potential. It gives members access to great educational resources and encourages them to work with top academics and other gifted young people around the world.
