This year Technion the Israel Institute of Technology will organize the 23rd SciTech camp for high-school students. This English language program is intended for students with exceptional ability in mathematics, science or computer technology.
SciTech is an International science and technology research camp for high-school students that offers a programme that is unique in terms that the students gain hands-on experience in Technion's modern research laboratories under the supervision of faculty members.
SciTech is a 3-4 week programme that combines scientific research along with cultural and social activities. It brings together outstanding students from North and South America, Europe, Asia, Israel and many other countries and is intended to challenge even the brightest students.
SciTech is for science-oriented high-school students in the 11th or 12th grade with a proven record of academic excellence. The program is intended for all those with a keen interest in science and a commitment to high performance standards. Those who can benefit the most from the Technion's atmosphere of excellence will be selected.
Participants work either individually or in small groups on a research project of their choice which is supervised by members of the Technion's research staff. Projects are conducted in the Technion's many departments of Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine and Architecture and makes use of the state-of-the art research facilities located on campus.
Afternoons and evenings are devoted to social and cultural activities. Day and weekend excursions across Israel are conducted, introducing participants to the multifaceted culture and beauty of Israel.
The deadline for the receipt of applications in order to participate in SciTech is February 21st . Students applying after this date cannot be guaranteed a place in the program.
The camp will take place from the 25th July to 18th August 2016.
