EducationUSA is a global network of hundreds of advising centers supported by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. IIE Europe hosts one of 14 Regional Educational Advising Coordinators (REAC) worldwide. In partnership with the Educational Information and Resources Branch, the REACs for Europe with support from a project coordinator provide leadership and expertise in educational advising issues to more than 60 EducationUSA advising centers, Public Affairs Sections and Consular Sections at U.S. embassies in over 30 countries in Europe.
NYU Abu Dhabi consists of a highly selective liberal arts and sciences college and a world center for advanced research and scholarship — integrated with each other and connected through technology to NYU New York. Over time, NYU Abu Dhabi will also offer distinctive graduate and professional programs. Together, NYU New York, NYU Abu Dhabi, and NYU Shanghai form the backbone of a unique Global Network University, with faculty and students from New York or Abu Dhabi spending "semesters away" at one or more of the numerous study abroad sites NYU maintains on five continents. It draws students from around the world, and prepares them for the challenges and opportunities of our interconnected world. The IIE European Office conducts the program outreach in Europe.
Schwarzman Scholars, the elite international scholarship program modeled on the Rhodes Scholarship, will support 200 scholars annually from the U.S., China and around the world for a one-year Master’s degree program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, one of China’s most prestigious universities and an indispensable base for the country’s scientific research. Scholars chosen for this highly selective program will live in Beijing for a year of study and cultural immersion, attending lectures, traveling, and developing a better understanding of China. IIE’s European office supports outreach and selection for the program.
