NE University, AK Education Faculty organized three congresses about special education. One of them is the 18. National Special Education Congress, the others are:

• The First International Special Education Congress entitled ELMIS ER - Effective Leadership and Management in Inclusive Schools: Education and Rehabilitation (ELMIS-ER 2011) and
• The Second International Special Education Congress entitled ELMIS ER - Effective Leadership and Management in Inclusive Schools: Education and Rehabilitation (ELMIS-ER 2013)

Special Education Department offers undergraduate and graduate courses on the gifted. Department’s activities are executed by contact person (Assist. Prof. Ahmet KURNAZ) on behalf of the department. Assist Prof. Ahmet Kurnaz works as an instructor about gifted students in Necmettin Erbakan University, A. K. Education Faculty, Special Education Department.
